the stars!

Hi! We are Maria and Miriam and this week we have been THE STARTS!

At the beginning when Linda explained us the activity we were very frightened. The stars had to study 6 topics about Changes in The Spanish Educational System for doing a game  with the other groups  without the help of anyone of the group and the two groups who win the game will have a reward. So we have to study all the topics for try to win and get this reward.

It is 29 April, the competition day have arrived and we are so nervous but we have really enjoyed it because we can see that people are very enthusiastic and our compains of the group have supported us in every moment.  Linda took a fun game called “snakes and ladders”  and it was very interesting because there were stairs for advanced a huge amount of boxes and snakes, if you fall in that box, the snake will make you down to lower boxes.

We only fail one question but we had very bad lucky and we didn’t win, What’s a pity! The two groups that have win were Step by Step in the second position and in the first position T8T. Congratulations for them!

Despite of this, we are very happy with our work and we passed a very good time and also we have learned a lot with this game knowing a lot of things about two importants laws in our educational system which are LOMCE and LOE.

See you!

the game photos

Hello, I´m Eva and this week I had have to be Journalist. This week we played a fun game (in this game they could only play two people in each group who were the stars) the stars had to answer some questions well in order to roll the die and move to the next box. As we can see in the pictures all the stars were very nervous because all the teams wanted to win the game.

Here you can see the game board. if you fall down in the snake you go back but if you fall down on the stairs were lucky¡ because you advance.

Although we have not won the game we would have enjoyed it and at the same time we have learned new things.  I think that this new method of learning allows students to learn in a fun way and no memory. Having the competitiveness between them, the students try best known the content.

The Analyst is here!

Hi followers, I am Lola and this week I am the analyst!

What was the best part of the activity?

From my point of view, the best part of this activity is when we have presented our work. It is the time in which the entire group is together, already not problems or burdens arise us because the work is already finished.

I think it is the moment in which we are more relaxed and truly enjoy the activity together with the rest of our colleagues.

            What was the worse?

Although I have previously said that the best time of the activity is when we ended it, this week, at the same time, it has been one of the worst moments of the activity.

This is because at the time of distributing our questions on each topic to the other groups, we did not have the questions about the 5 topic, and in addition, we had to value this topic without our questions. We were very nervous because we had rating us ourselves on a job that was not present at that time. In the end, everything was arranged and there was any problem.

What was the best moment of the week (in the work of the group)?

The best moment of the week was in which we had made our questions, prepared and ready to be distributed to the rest of the groups.

It was a moment in which, first of all, we were very nervous and with tension because we didn't know how to start the task this week, and then we realize that the work was finished and we felt happy and proud of this.

     What was the worse?

The worst moment, from my point of view is always when it comes to how we organize ourselves. This week we have  worked different. Each person had to do the questions about the topic that has been assigned. With this way of working, we have taken more time and everything was more effective.

Subsequently, each one would have to explain the topic with the questions that she had done.
For this reason, the time to think how we could organize the activity and the day we can explain it was one of the most difficult and worse thing for the group.

          What have you learnt?

As I have said previously, the work was handed out and each one was "experts" of a different topic. For example, I was the expert in the topic 1 “An Overview of the Educational System”.
As then we had to explain to the group what they had learned on this topic.

We have learned a lot of thing about this, and the most important thing is that we know how we can explain a theme in English and the rest of the group understand it perfectly.

I want to say that we have had to put in the role of a teacher and be exposed to questions and doubts that may arise. This was for us an enriching part of the activity.

It is important to say that we have learnt to evaluate the work of the other group and evaluate our work too, and this I think that it is fundamental if we want to be excellent teachers.

What do you need to conserve-as a group- for the next weeks?

I believe that it is necessary to always keep the desire to work and encouragement that all we give to other.

For this reason, I think that if we use the effort, the enthusiasm and the desire for doing a great work, we will get to be excellent and professional teachers.

All things that I said before, we have learnt in this course, and especially in this subject.
Anyone can be perfect. We have doubts, questions, complications… that we have to resolve and continue working in these things.

At this time, I know that we are a group because we help each other.

So…Come on and use your effort and desire for doing a great work!

What do you need to improve- as a group- for the next weeks?

We have to improve the organisation of the group, and probably we must to take advantage of the time.

My group spent a lot of time thinking in all activities
.
And I think that we have time for doing everything so… come on C´mon Tutankamon!

It is necessary to improve the organisation of the work because… we can do a incredible work in less time. And If we do this, we will have time to review the work many times, because this it is very important!

How this content is related to other contents in the course and in your degree?

Firstly, it is important to say that we are studying a degree of Primary Education and for this reason the law of the education is always present in our work.

In many subjects, for example in the first semester in the subject “Planificación de la Acción Educativa”, we studied the curriculum and the competences.

Now, in this second semester, in subjects like “Acción Tutorial” we studied the LOE and LOMCE law, above all in the tutor paper.

And finally, in this subject and especially in this moment, we are studying these laws in different contexts.

To sum up, It is very important the contents of these laws because, you must know the functions that you have to have in each situation in your future work.

There is any evident social connection of this content (new, politics, etc)?

Each topic that we have to studied, we must to relation and see the differences between LOE and LOMCE.

As everyone know, we had had different laws in a short period of time, and this is because when a different political party win the election they consider that they must change the law. This is a big problem!

The education need time, dedication and effort.

It is important to always improve the education, but the differences between the two political parties have to be separate, above all in this ambit. These differences and these changes are harmful to us.

Education is of all and for all!

I am a journalist!

Hi! I’m Miriam Gamuz and this week  I’ve been… A JOURNALIST!!

I'm going to tell you how our week has passed:

First of all, Linda explained us the task we had to do this week.  The task is about how is organized our educational system, it seemed very interesting because  we must know it for our future as a teacher.

Linda explained the different steps that the task it’s divided. And this week we started with the first step, we have to do two mind maps with the topics that we had: Organization of Primary Education (Geographical accessibility, Admission requirements and choice of school,  age levels and grouping of pupils, organization of the school year)  and Administration and Governance at Local and/or Institutional Level (II) (Governance at educational institutions level , non-university institutions , the Leadership Team , collegial governing bodies , teaching coordination bodies , participation bodies) .

For this, we have to look in the different links Linda had uploaded for searching the information, and then we have to compare the last law (LOE) and the law we have now (LOMCE) and put the differences in the mind map. At first, we were a bit afraid because there was a lot of content, we had to use another program that was new for us, we had to compare the two laws and it wasn’t an easy work because there were very similar… and we must do it until Monday!!!

So, we started to work at the very beginning of the week for have enough time to do all we wanted to do.  We began to do a summarize of the contents, for knowing what it was the most important and what concepts we should put on the mind map, meanwhile,  others were looking for what  mind map’s program was the best for us. So each one had their role and this afforded us to go quicker! We know how to work as a group!!

When we arrived to class on Monday morning, Linda asked us another task, we have to reviewed   and unified the different mind maps we had of the same topic and create a new one. The group T8T had to helped us to do a part of our mind map although they didn’t work about this topic so it was a bit difficult for their but, nevertheless, they tried to do the best they could do.

And we began to read all the mind maps and we could compare the different programs the other groups have used and chose the one that we thought would be the best to do a good mind maps with all the important concepts, but we had to work fast because we needed it for the next day!

We worked very hard until we finished the best mind map, so we hope that people like it and consider it useful to study.

Also, I've been looking on my partners' blog and I comment in some of them:

I comment in a blog of a physycal education teacher that I think he is doing a lot of good activities tu stimulate children to do sport.

So… This is the story of our week! We have a lot of expectations with this game and we will put all our enthusiasm for win it! C’mon!! tutankamon!!!!
