The stars shining. Presentation

Hello everyone, we are the stars of the group in this practice: Carolina and Lola.

We have been working all the week with our group C’Mon Tutankamon in Tpack model, as we are the stars today we have had to explain what Tpack Model is to all the classmates in our class. We have contextualised Tpack, then we have defined  what it is and finally we have explained different examples.

       
Fistly, Carolina has said that 20 years ago teachers were worried about using technologies in their classes without paying attention to other important things like content and pedagogical model. Nowadays to be good teachers we need three types of knowledge: technological knowledge, content knowledge and pedagogical knowledge.

Technological knowledge. It gives answer to the question: What tools we use to teach? We have to know about technologies, what technologies are in the market and how to use them to create activities for our students.

Content knowledge. It gives answer to the question: What to teach? Teachers have to domain the contents that they teach, for example if you are a maths teacher you have to domain mathematics. They are different types of contents: maths, literatura, arts, music and so on.

Pedagogical model. It gives answer to the question: How to teach? Teachers have to know pegagogical methods to be creative and innovative making activities for the students.

Tpack model recommend to integrate and to coordinate the three knowledges that Carolina has explained. Tpack also is influenced by the context: the kind of teacher that you are, the background of your students, the type of school where you are teaching and so on.

      Secondly, Lola explained 3 examples, the first one highlighted technology, the second example the pedagogy and the last on the contents.

      As she explained during her presentation, to be a good teacher it is necessary to study subjects related to the knowledge of the contents, technology and of course pedagogia. During our degree we have to learn different knowledges to be good teachers. We must develop our own learning in the three types of knowledge when we will be teachers we will have to create activities using the three types of knowledge. This would be the perfect combinacion.

Finally, from our experience, we have learned a bit more how to explain something to a small audience and learn how to teach something. We must emphasize that we have been a little nervous especially in the first two presentations to two of the groups of class, but then and thanks to the support and patience of our classmates, we have been able to defend our presentation.We hope that you liked and that they have served to you to understand a little better what the tpack model.
